This odd and very brief set doesn't feature songs that are all that hard to find, really, if one were to look for them. None were huge hits, with the possible exception of Climax's saccharine "Precious and Few," and at least a couple, including the Fendermen's unhinged and surf-tinged version of "Muleskinner Blues" and the Argyles' classic-of-a-sort "Alley Oop" are singular enough to provoke an "Oh yeah, I remember that song" response, but most of what is here falls into the minor chart hit category at best. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
